Network Engineer / Analyst Swindon (office x1 per week on average) £40,000-£45,000 25 days annual holiday entitlement pension contribution core benefits Are you an experienced Network Engineer with a passion for supporting robust, secure, and scalable network infrastructures? We have a great opportunity to join an established and flexible team to play a key role in shaping the future of the enterprise networking landscape. Key responsibilities: Working with the Network Architect you will oversee the implementation of technical changes and solutions by external suppliers and third parties, ensuring that the delivery meets the requirements and is accepted into service. Provide solution design time and material estimates for project plans and BAU activity, working with suppliers as necessary. Working alongside suppliers you will monitor, support and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. You will act as an escalation point for network triage/troubleshooting ensuring minimal downtime and business disruption. Identify existing network infrastructure, produce and maintain accurate network diagrams with associated documentation in conjunction with suppliers, colleagues and partners. What we're looking for: Experience of working in 2nd and 3rd line support roles specialising in Networks, Telecoms and Engineering fields. In-depth knowledge of network protocols, standards, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, firewall policy management, network monitoring). Some experience in solution design and delivery of WAN, LAN, Telephony and WLAN solutions. Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and implementing effective solutions. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficient in configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Strong understanding of network security principles and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. Proven experience in enterprise network implementation and support. Please note- an element of travel is required with this role to attend various sites across the UK as and when needed for support or project based initiatives.
