The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner within the Community Mental Health Multi-Disciplinary Team in pharmacotherapy management and evaluation of Service Users care and will co-ordinate and lead on relevant clinics and associated Risk Management.
Responsibilities
* The post holder will undertake detailed assessments, deliver diagnosis, treat and prescribe, review and deliver effective treatment plans. They will have access to clinical advice and supervision from Consultants within the team.
* The post holder will be accountable and responsible for providing the clinical management by using specialist skills, knowledge and expertise for the population requiring relative treatment.
* The NMP skills will be utilised to provide appropriate education to empower service users to make appropriate choices about treatment.
* The post holder will undertake and participate in audit, research and development activities to further develop this position.
* The post holder will prescribe for patients in accordance with the Trust’s Non medical Prescribing Governance Framework, relevant legislation and professional guidance and /or policy.
Skills and Qualifications
* Provide evidence to demonstrate he/she has successfully completed NMP programme or be due to complete by August 2025.
* Recognised validated course by the NMC/ other professional body.
* Hold current registration as an non-medical prescriber or be due to register by August 2025.
* Registered with the relevant professional body.
* Have a relevaHave 3 years post-qualification experience with working knowledge and experience of Mental Health Conditions in either the Acnt Degree in healthcare or equivalent as per your profession. (i.e. Diploma or post-graduation qualification).
* Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
* This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by The Organisation which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
* Evidence of involvement in quality improvement/service development.
* Well-developed analytical and judgment skills.
* Demonstrate track record of prescribing practice.
