Role: Behaviour Mentor

Job Purpose
We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join our team. You will work closely with students, supporting their social, emotional, and behavioural development, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and thrive in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
* Develop and implement individualised behaviour plans in collaboration with teaching staff and other professionals.
* Act as a positive role model, fostering strong relationships with students to build trust and confidence.
* Support students in managing their emotions and resolving conflicts constructively.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to inform future interventions.
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Person Specification
* Essential:
* Experience working with young people with social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of individual students.
Desirable:
* Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, youth work, or a related field.
* Experience in a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
