Are you a Maternity Support Worker who is passionate about improving maternity care?
You will support the maternity practice education team to lead change and achieve the highest standard of safe care for women and families through effective delivery of recruitment, retention, education, and support programs.
As part of this team, you will contribute to the future development of the maternity service, focusing on the maternity support worker and healthcare assistant roles.
PLEASE NOTE
To meet the essential criteria for this vacancy, you must have:
* GCSE Maths & English grade 4-9 or grade C or above, or Level 2 functional skills in maths and English
* BNCS or NVQ 2 / Internal Level 2 training programme in Health and Social Care (must include work-based assessments). We cannot accept qualifications achieved through online learning only.

You will provide accessible and bespoke pastoral support to the HSA/MSW workforce, developing support networks and clinical support as needed.
You will support continuous professional development by facilitating relevant education programs, including essential job role training, point of care training, induction, and other developmental programs.
You will assist the workforce in career progression through education and mentoring, and support the maternity education team in maintaining the training matrix, monitoring, and evaluating the effectiveness of education, along with other administrative tasks.

You will support the practice education team in delivering mandatory, statutory, induction, and role-specific training aligned with local and national standards.
You will assist in assessing clinical skills, training for medical devices, and logging competencies within scope of practice.
You will also provide administrative support, including booking meetings, preparing spaces, and monitoring education records.
Engage actively in colleagues’ development and pastoral support, and participate in interviews, meetings, events, and networks as required.
