TeacherActive are proud to be working with a Primary School based in the Derby area who are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher on a full time basis. The school is located in the heart of the city and has rising standards and a happy and enthusiastic school community. The school are looking to appoint a Assistant Headteacher with a proven track record of excellent classroom practise and senior leadership who will support the school values.
This role will be working Monday to Friday, with 4 days teaching a year 2 class and 1 day completing Assistant Headteacher duties. The successful candidate will work alongside the senior leadership team (SLT) ensuring high standards throughout the school and managing behaviours in line with the schools policy.
The successful Assistant Headteacher will have:
Vast experience teaching year 2
Experience as an Assistant Headteacher is desirable
Leadership experience and keen to develop further
A secure understanding of safeguarding
Confident and reflective classroom teacher with high expectations
A clear picture of a smooth, day-to-day running of the school
