Our Terminal Platform Support team has a new opportunity for a Technical Support Analyst to join and provide dedicated technical support for our terminal and retail platforms. This position also offers someone with the passion and desire to learn opportunities to further their career, either within Technical Support, or progress within our Technical Product and Engineering team. What will you be doing? You will be embedded in the Terminal Platform Support team working alongside the Engineering team to successfully implement applications and system changes into the production environment. You will investigate queries and incidents which are raised by our retailers and internal PayPoint operations team, identifying root causes and flagging these to the wider team. You will assist the team in building up a knowledge base for troubleshooting future issues and avoiding reoccurrence. To make sure our Terminal Platform runs smoothly at all times, you will be part of an out of hours support function operating on a rota basis. What would we like from you? An interest in IT systems both old and new Windows-based environment skills, including 1st/2nd line support SQL Server knowledge in order to interrogate databases Troubleshooting skills to solve complex issues A desire to learn and want to know everything about everything Excellent customer service skills A can-do attitude The ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff Flexibility - from time to time we would need you to help us with changes at short notice Educated to degree level in Computer Science/IT (or related subjects) It would be great if you already have… An interest in software development and programming languages Experience with Azure DevOps Experience with Android and/or iOS Experience with transaction processing systems around point of sale systems IIS Server Knowledge What can we do for you?
