Roles Available in Location: Montrose, Barnard Castle, Worthing, GSK HQ London, Ware

Education required: To apply for this placement, you must be:

Currently studying an Undergraduate Degree in one of the following disciplines: Engineering (accredited), Business, Maths, Science, Supply Chain based degree, Business or Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics or Data Analytics.

Please read the degree requirements for each role carefully before applying.

Other requirements: You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You must be enrolled at a UK (United Kingdom) or ROI (Republic of Ireland) University for the duration of your placement.

If you have already graduated with a bachelor’s degree and are currently studying a postgraduate Masters, you are not eligible for this programme.

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Expected Start date: July 2026

Duration: 1 year (approximately)

Salary: £27,100 (London) or £25,400 (all other areas) plus a bonus.

The Roles (9 available)

Role 1 - Business and Supply Chain – Montrose

Degree requirements: Science and manufacturing related degrees

Workplace Arrangements: Full time on site required

Overview of the Department

The Scheduling Department at Montrose plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless coordination of production timelines across various functions. This team is responsible for managing schedules that align with supply chain demands, regulatory requirements, and operational capacity to meet business objectives. Their work helps optimise workflows, minimise delays, and maintain a consistent supply of products to patients and customers worldwide.

Key Placement Learnings

* Production plan scheduling for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
* Day to day supporting the business with takings actions, problem solving and collaborating with support functions.
* Support and carry out continuous improvement projects.
* Contributing to the wider site Smart Manufacturing initiatives, investigating opportunities for digital solutions.
* Engage in warehouse inbound and outbound activities.

Role 2 – Logistics Shared Services & Supply Chain – Barnard Castle

Degree requirements: Engineering (accredited undergraduate degree), Business, Maths, Science, or related.

Workplace Arrangements: Full time on site required

Overview of the Department

Barnard Castle is a key secondary site for GSK with a large number of New Products coming through development at site. We manufacture and supply a huge range of different pharmaceutical products from Sterile Products (Syringes and Vials) to Liquid Inhalations andDermatologicals. We have recently opened a new state of the art aseptic digital facility producing biopharmaceuticals.

Key Placement Learnings

* Engage in warehouse inbound and outbound activities
* Provide guidance and support for departments, global suppliers and contractors
* Support new equipment introduction and new process implementation
* Simplification and automation of our material scheduling processes
* Data analysis of warehouse capacity and reporting on budget
* Demand review (including gathering and understanding market intelligence on forecasts and supply chain complexities)
* Assess inventory policy for consumable materials
* Data quality improvements
