Your Role at a Glance
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you’ll enjoy:

Competitive Base Salary: Start with a base salary of £40,178, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
*
Guaranteed Overtime: Increase your base salary to £44,385 with guaranteed overtime options.
*
Structured Work Hours: Work 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

In our SMR division, you won’t deal with emergency callouts or unpredictable shifts. Instead, you’ll:
* Work through a scheduled list of jobs, ensuring quality work.
* Use advanced mobile equipment for diagnostics and in-depth repairs.
* Provide member advice and conduct vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards.
From day one, you’ll have everything you need: a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set, and advanced diagnostics.
Where You’ll Work
You’ll be part of the Bridgwater cluster, covering areas like:
* Bridgwater
* Burnham-on-Sea
* Weston-super-Mare
* Highbridge
* Cheddar
Enjoy the freedom of being out on the road in your local area, focusing on organized, pre-booked work.
What You’ll Need
* Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
* A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
