We are looking for a food and beverage manager to run a 750K per year hospitality operation in Oxford at one of the leading family focused health and racquets clubs in the area. The 6000 member club has recently benefitted for a multimillion pound capital investment providing an exceptional opportunity to further grow and develop the food and beverage operation, The club offers a fully branded menu throughout the day including wraps, pizzas, burgers and steaks, classic meals, light bites, plant based and healthy options alongside a fully stocked bar and a very busy coffee operation. You will also be catering for a wide variety of events and parties held at the club throughout the calendar whilst the outdoor catering area is very popular during the peak summer months with members congregating around the outdoor pool.
As the food and beverage manager you will be responsible for coaching and leading a team including head chef and a brigade of 6 full and part time chefs, a bar supervisor and a team of full and part time front of house staff. You will need to be as focused on your GPs and managing your rotas and labour targets and ensuring your ordering and stock management can meet the rapidly fluctuating demands of the hospitality operation.
We are keen to talk to candidates who have a proven track record as a GM, AGM or F and B Manager working within a high footfall branded hospitality operation. It is essential that you will be an inspirational leader and coach and have the presence and personality to lead your team and deliver an exceptional member experience and 5*standards on each visit to the clubroom. This will be continually measured and monitored by NPS, member feedback, mystery shops and the employee engagement score for your own leadership. Underpinning this you should be a candidate who will be highly visible within the clubroom and willing to support in all areas of the club's operation and being accessible to the members and the many clubs that run events throughout the year.
You will typically be working 3 middle shifts of 10-6 and one early and one late shift and you would also get to be a duty manager on two shifts where you would have responsibility for the whole club. You would be expected to work 4 weekend days per month.
In addition to a basic salary of up to £37,500, there are potential bonuses of £880 payable every 4 months. Given the fantastic sporting and leisure facilities at the club, an interest in fitness and sport in general is desirable but not essential.
