In this position, you will play a key role in the sale of our full range of building materials and plumbing and heating supplies products, therefore previous sales experience in a similar role within a builder’s or plumber’s merchant environment is essential.
Working with the sales team, the main purpose of your role will be to maximize sales by building first class relationships with customers both over the telephone and face to face, whilst maintaining excellent customer service. You will also be required to provide quotations to customers, follow them up and to pro-actively develop sales. You will also be promoting new products both face-to-face and via social media, as well as arranging trade days.
You will be working within a close-knit team and will be dealing with our customers on a daily basis. You will therefore need to have the likeability factor and be the person that our customers will look forward to seeing, knowing that they will always receive excellent customer service and sound advice.
You should be confident, have excellent product knowledge, a genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service, great attention to detail and be able to build and develop great customer relationships. Being computer literate is also vital.
This role will involve working alternate Saturday mornings.
