Children's Community Nurse

Band: 6 – 30 hours per week
Main Duties
* Provide family‑centred, holistic nursing care to children in the community.
* Collaborate with Health Visitors, School Nurses, GPs, and the Paediatric Liaison Health Visitor to deliver coordinated care within the home setting.
* Work a shift system covering 08:30 to 18:30, seven days a week.
Responsibilities
* Deliver specialised and skilled nursing care as a member of the Children’s Community Nursing Team.
* Reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and promote hospital avoidance.
* Provide specialist support in the child’s own environment in partnership with the child, young person, family, carers, and other professionals.
Qualifications
* Registered RN or RSCN Child with acute paediatric experience.
* Minimum of two years’ experience at band 5.

* Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
* Competent in clinical skills relevant to paediatric community nursing.
