Head of Data Strategy & Architecture | Cambridge | Hybrid
We’re looking for a senior data leader to define and deliver our clients enterprise data strategy and target architecture, enabling AI at scale across a modern data ecosystem.
You’ll lead the Data Architecture function and Data CoE, driving a data mesh approach that empowers domain teams to build high-quality, AI-ready data products. This role is central to improving data maturity, governance, and value across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
* Define and execute enterprise data strategy and roadmap
* Lead and grow a high-performing Data Architecture team
* Establish data governance, standards, and operating models (ownership, stewardship, quality, metadata)
* Enable AI readiness, including data quality, lineage, and Responsible AI controls
* Partner with AI CoE and platform teams to deliver scalable data products
* Drive adoption of modern data practices (cloud, data mesh, CI/CD)
* Engage senior stakeholders and influence organisation-wide change
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience leading data strategy and enterprise data architecture in complex environments
* Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
* Expertise in modern data platforms, governance, and AI/data integration
* Track record of delivering data transformation and improving data maturity
