This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person with a keen interest in nurse education and development in a community setting. You will be supporting Guys and St Thomas' hospital @home service to develop high standards of practice & performance with particular focus on the band 3 Nursing Rehab Support Worker (NRSW) team.
You will be involved with supporting clinical staff and teaching. You will also be involved with education & training to all relevant personnel within the @home service to ensure high standards of care and excellent patient experience. You will also be expected to provide high quality face to face patient treatment and interventions to the patients under the care of @home with the aim of avoiding hospital admission.

Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the Practice Development Nurse to support the implementation of education within the at home service, with an emphasis on the NRSW team support and development.

Education/ Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. NMC Level one Registered Nurse Adult.
2. Evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic Development.
3. Specialist professional knowledge of mentorship, education and development practice. ENB 998 or equivalent teaching qualification.
Desirable criteria
4. Specialist Practice Teacher.
5. ENB 998 or equivalent teaching qualification.
6. Post registration qualification relevant to Service Specialist practitioner District Nursing.
Previous experience
Essential criteria
7. Post registration experience within community setting.
8. Delivery of training sessions / programmes.
9. Experience of supervising/ assessing nurses and students in practice.
10. Experience of involvement in educational initiatives
Skills/Knowledge / Ability
Essential criteria
11. Knowledge of educational standards and practice.
12. Understanding of the principles of teaching and learning.
13. Evidence of excellent clinical skills.
14. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
15. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal & communication skills.
