Department: IT Location: Sunderland - Customer Support Centre Compensation: £45,000 / year Description We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an ambitious Reporting Developer to join the ScS Reporting Team and support the business during an exciting period of growth. You will be responsible for database management as well as implementing business logic to transform data for visualisation within Power BI. Our data platform is hosted in Azure, where you will have the opportunity to work with the Azure tech stack to further supplement your expertise. This is a key position within the Reporting team where you will become a key point of contact with senior stakeholders across the business. This position is based at our Customer Support Centre in Sunderland and you will be required to work from the office. What does the role involve? Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that support business objectives Contribute to maintenance of data models and transformation pipelines that integrate data from multiple business systems Design and maintain SQL stored procedures & functions - to improve performance and efficiency while ensuring data integrity and accuracy is maintained Develop and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Visualise and analyse data to provide meaningful insight on trends and opportunities for our business Maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, processes, and procedures Implement and maintain database security protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data protection regulations Play an active role in fault resolution (e.g. data pipeline failures) occurring in the operation of software, especially those requiring greater expertise Who are we looking for? Confident working individually and as part of a team, thriving in an agile environment with a sharp eye for detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear insights Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on time Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar, or minimum of 3 years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL, T-SQL and Microsoft stack (SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS) Experience with Azure data tools - Data Factory, Analysis Services, Data Lake Proficient in developing & present data stories using Microsoft Power BI or similar visualisation software Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred What’s in it for you?
