Kitchen Assistant/Catering Assistant Term Time (42 Weeks) 35 Hours per week 8am - 3pm

Contract: Term-time (42 weeks), Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £13.50 per hour
Hours: 35 per week (8:00am – 3:00pm), Monday to Friday
A thriving day school for boys aged 4-13 located in Beaconsfield, catering for around 400 students and staff daily. The role covers core catering services including breakfast club, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and after-school club. Free on-site parking is available.
We are looking for a talented Kitchen Assistant/Catering Assistant to join our team at Beaconsfield. The role is term-time working 42 weeks.
You will have previous experience of working in a fast-paced kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant. You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients and regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.
Key Responsibilities
* Work well in a team, providing food and a great service
* Prepare food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following brand standards
* Ensure company food standards are adhered to and wastage is controlled
* Follow Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures
* Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
* Provide excellent customer service
* Be a great team player
* Assist Chefs with some food preparation

Knowledge / Competencies
* Reasonable/good understanding of verbal English
