We are looking for a Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to join our Learning and Development team on a fixed-term basis for 9 months, based in the Darlington office (hybrid working).

The role
This role will support our people’s performance by overseeing the creation of programs and interventions to develop current and future skills within the Benefits function, focusing on pensions expertise, aligned with our strategic priorities. You will be responsible for building a robust L&D framework to embed within the Benefits team.
This is an opportunity to influence the development and implementation of effective L&D processes and contribute to our culture and performance, helping our staff reach their full potential through learning and development.
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
The person
We seek someone with operational experience in developing L&D frameworks, including success metrics and standardized procedures. You should be capable of delivering the wider L&D plan within Benefits, including designing, delivering, and evaluating technical pensions training. As an L&D Manager, you will guide and develop your team through coaching and mentoring, fostering a collaborative environment. Experience in Financial Services is advantageous but not essential.
You will need excellent stakeholder relationship-building skills, organizational abilities, and adaptability to changing priorities. A passion for continuous improvement and the ability to influence and challenge existing processes to promote L&D best practices are essential.
