We’re looking for a Security Vetting Officer. 12 month FTC, Based at our Paddington site, you’ll be reporting directly to the Head of Security and Safety, working in a team of Security vetting officers, the job holder will ensure that all current vetting requirements of Head Office are met.
The role will be required to ensure the security office is functioning efficiently and meets the requirements of the Urenco Head Office and that vetting procedures and vetting aftercare are met in an accordance with Governmental and Regulatory legislature and security standards.
This includes but is not limited to Security clearances, maintaining procedures and security intranet page, travel advice, distribution of Security information, maintaining records and providing general security advice. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

To advise and update all personnel via established communication methods of changes in security vetting procedures, policy and company compliance where appropriate.
Completing mandatory document audits and to ensure the safe and secure destruction of such documents whilst having regard for the data protection act and other relevant legislation.
Manage the Head Office Personnel Security travel administration
To act as a point of contact for all staff and contractors for vetting and general enquiries either in person or via a central mailbox.
Administer Employee and Contractor Security clearances (SC / DV) for Head Office on UKSV
Update and maintain the security intranet page
Liaise with comms to improve security culture and send messages out on the HUB Head office newsletter and internal office information screens
Manage the Head Office Personnel Security travel administration, including provision of briefings/guidance (approvals where necessary) to employees going on foreign travel, maintenance of records and associated correspondence with ONR
Knowledge and experience of vetting procedures for the Civil Nuclear Industry
Proficient in the use of SAP, email and Microsoft Office applications
Strong inter-personal skills and patience to communicate complicated Governmental and regulatory procedures
Annual leave of 27 days per annum.
