SENIOR ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT – ENGINEERING SECTOR - RINGWOOD - OFFICE BASED – Monday to Friday (8am to 4pm) - UPTO £38,000 + BENEFITS

This well-established engineering business are recruiting for a new member in their accounts team for a newly created role. Joining a small accounts team, you will provide technical support to the team
Working closely with the management accountant, you will help manage the day-to-day accounts functions and provide support to the management team. You should be able to put together management information as well as a good understanding of general accounts administration, this includes:
* Prepare and maintain financial records across multiple businesses within the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
* Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
* Assist with month-end duties, including management reports and statutory returns.
* Generate financial reports and assist with data analysis
* Assist with year-end closing procedures and preparation of information for Audit.
* Assist with development of policies in line with business growth.
Experience within the Accounts function is essential for this role; the company ideally would like 5 years’ experience. Professional qualifications would be preferred but not essential, the company are looking for someone who:
* Can work closely with the accounts team and has a very high attention to detail
* Can accurately analyse information and relay it in an easy-to-understand fashion
* Can coach and mentor junior team members if required
* Can work on their own initiative without constant guidance
