Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Technician to provide technical expertise, hands-on support, and leadership across our IT services. The role focuses on Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure AD, Intune, M365), Audio Visual (AV) systems, and delivering high-quality 1st and 2nd line support. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth IT operations, resolve incidents efficiently, and contribute to ongoing infrastructure improvements.
Responsibilities
* Cloud & Infrastructure Management
o Administer and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
o Manage Azure Active Directory accounts, groups, and security policies.
o Deploy, configure, and maintain devices using Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM).
o Support hybrid environments (on-prem AD with Azure AD integration).
o Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventative measures.
* User Support & Service Delivery
o Act as an escalation point for 1st and 2nd line support tickets.
o Provide hands-on technical support to end-users (hardware, software, mobile devices, networking).
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows and macOS operating systems.
o Document solutions, provide knowledge base articles, and support service desk improvements.
o Deliver excellent customer service with clear communication and professionalism.
* Audio Visual (AV) Support
o Install, configure, and maintain AV equipment (meeting room systems, projectors, displays, microphones, cameras).
o Provide live event and meeting support, utilising Microsoft Teams Rooms.
o Troubleshoot AV hardware and software issues quickly to minimize disruption.
o Assist in the setup and operation of hybrid/remote meetings and webinars.
* Security & Compliance
o Support MFA, conditional access, and security baselines across Azure and Intune.
o Maintain compliance with IT policies, GDPR, and industry standards.
o Apply patches and updates to endpoints and servers in line with security best practices.
* Collaboration & Leadership
o Mentor and support junior technicians in developing their technical skills.
o Assist the IT Manager with infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations.
o Recommend improvements to systems, processes, and technologies.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint).
* Proven knowledge of Azure AD and Intune for identity, device, and application management.
* Hands-on experience in 1st and 2nd line IT support, including ticketing systems.
* Competence in Audio Visual technologies, including MS Teams Rooms and conferencing hardware.
* Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
* Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and macOS environments.
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
* Familiarity with endpoint security, compliance policies, and data loss prevention.
* Exposure to 3rd line or project-based work (migrations, cloud rollouts, AV upgrades).
* ITIL awareness or certification.
* Relevant Microsoft certifications (MS-100, MS-101, AZ-104, MD-102).
