Behaviour Mentor
Location: Wotton-under-Edge & surrounding area
Salary: £14.24 p/h – higher rates available depending on experience/qualifications
Contract Type: Full-time & Part-time available
Start Date: ASAP
Vision for Education are working with a welcoming and inclusive school in the Wotton-under-Edge area, looking to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Mentor. This Behaviour Mentor role is a great opportunity to support pupils in a structured and positive learning environment while gaining valuable classroom experience.
We are looking for a committed Behaviour Mentor who can work closely with teachers to support learning and behaviour, helping pupils stay engaged and confident throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities of a Behaviour Mentor
1. Supporting pupils in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups
2. Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
3. Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND
4. Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting inclusion
5. Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and development
6. Assisting with breaktime supervision and school activities
The Ideal Behaviour Mentor Will Have:
7. Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
8. A patient, positive and reliable approach
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. Confidence supporting behaviour and learning needs
11. A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
12. Relevant qualifications (desirable)
