Advanced Analytics & AI Solutions Manager
2 Days per week in West Midlands
We’re working with a large, complex organisation that’s moving beyond traditional reporting and into predictive, decision-led analytics and applied AI.
They’re now looking for an Advanced Analytics & AI Manager to lead this next phase — someone who can sit at the intersection of data science, advanced analytics and the business, and turn analytical capability into real-world decisions.
This is a senior, hands-on role with significant influence, but no direct line management.
The role
You’ll lead the delivery of advanced analytics and AI-driven initiatives that help the organisation plan better, optimise operations and make smarter decisions.
Rather than focusing on experimentation or dashboards, your job is to ensure that predictive models, advanced analytics and decision logic are designed, prioritised and embedded in a way that genuinely changes how the business operates.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, shaping use cases, owning the analytics roadmap and ensuring insight is understood, trusted and used.
What you’ll be responsible for
* Leading cross-functional advanced analytics and AI projects, from problem definition through to delivery and adoption
* Owning the backlog and roadmap for advanced analytics products, prioritising work based on impact, feasibility and data readiness
* Bridging data science, analytics, engineering and business teams to ensure solutions are practical, explainable and actionable
* Driving the adoption of new tools, platforms and analytical approaches that enable applied AI and predictive use cases
* Presenting predictive insight and recommendations to senior leaders to support planning, forecasting and decision-making
* Setting best practice and governance for advanced analytics across a hub-and-spoke data environment
* Monitoring performance and adoption of analytics products, continuously improving their value and effectiveness
* Ensuring appropriate data access controls, risk management and compliance are embedded from day one
About you
This role suits someone who understands the theory of data science and AI, but prefers applied, business-focused delivery.
You’ll likely have:
* Strong experience in advanced analytics, predictive modelling, decision intelligence or applied AI
* A track record of owning analytics solutions end-to-end, not just building models
* Confidence working with senior stakeholders, translating complex analysis into clear recommendations
* Solid grounding in data platforms, analytics tooling and data governance principles
* Experience operating in large or complex organisations, where influence matters as much as technical skill
What this role isn’t
* Not a BI or reporting management role
* Not a research-only or experimental data science position
* Not a people-heavy management role
