Job Title: Payroll Supervisor Salary: £35,000 Working Structure: 3 days office / 2 days home (Office based for probation) Location: Merseyside Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the payroll team, ensuring deadlines are met, timesheets are accurate, and quality standards are maintained. Provide guidance to team members, helping to resolve queries and identify opportunities for process improvement. Oversee payroll compliance, including statutory filings, pension uploads, and internal auditing. Act as a key point of contact with HMRC, pension providers, and other external stakeholders. Deliver an exceptional client experience, offering timely, professional, and accurate service at all times. Ideal Candidate Profile: Proven ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively. Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Minimum of 5 years’ payroll experience within an organisation. (Desirable) Experience using BrightPay and Xero payroll software. (Desirable) Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and using iMac systems.
