Location: Remote
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + Excellent Benefits

Are you passionate about using data to drive breakthroughs in healthcare? A pioneering precision medicine company is seeking a talented Bioinformatician to join their multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of next-generation diagnostic tools that are transforming clinical decision-making.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of phosphoproteomics, leveraging cutting-edge LC-MS/MS data and proprietary bioinformatics platforms to uncover predictive biomarkers and support personalized treatment strategies.

What You’ll Do: • Analyze large-scale (phospho)proteomics datasets to identify novel biomarkers for drug response. • Collaborate with wet lab scientists to interpret experimental results and guide biological discovery. • Develop and maintain robust statistical and predictive modelling pipelines. • Contribute to the evolution of proprietary computational tools and workflows. • Support clinical study design, data interpretation, and the preparation of scientific publications and patents. • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and help shape the future of proteomics-based diagnostics.

What We’re Looking For: • PhD (or equivalent) in a STEM-related field. • 3+ years of experience in statistical and predictive modelling of high-dimensional biological data. • 2+ years of hands-on experience in proteomics bioinformatics. • Proficiency in R; additional experience in Python or C++ is a plus. • Strong understanding of molecular biology and biochemical systems. • Proven ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and communicate complex data effectively.

Desirable Extras: • Experience in biotech, pharma, or start-up environments. • Familiarity with cloud computing, regulated environments, or Bayesian methods. • Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS data and proteomics software tools. • Background in experimental design for biomarker discovery.

Why Join?
You’ll be part of a mission-driven team that’s redefining how clinicians approach treatment decisions. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on patient outcomes while working with innovative technologies in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
