Junior buyer

An established company based in Alfreton, that is continuing to grow year on year, are looking for a Buyer to join their team. As the Junior Buyer, you will play an integral role in the company's expenditure management. Reporting to the Senior Buyer you will be responsible for all indirect buying including stationery/packaging etc.

Some of your duties will include:

* Ensure stock is available to coincide with planned production
* Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Sourcing new suppliers
* Highlight cost saving opportunities
* Price negotiation
* Conducting tenders
* Creating stock reports
* Raising of purchase orders
* Support Senior Buyer with the purchase of raw plastic materials
* Co-ordinate with internal departments such as planning and sales
* Tracking of supplier performance
* Review and consolidate supply base
