Responsibilities
* This post is a regulated role with Children under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 and membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer by West Dunbartonshire Council.
* For vacancies at denominational schools: evidence of Catholic Church approval is required when submitting the application, and a copy of the approval should be provided to the Chair of the Panel prior to interview. If approval is pending, confirmation of submission will be sought from the Church representative.
Requirements
* Denominational Primary Posts: Applicants for permanent posts in a denominational primary school must have the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate.
* Denominational Secondary Posts: Applicants for denominational secondary schools need to have RC Approval for the school they are applying to.
