Job Description
Interim Project AccountantScunthorpe 6 Month Contract £350 - £500 Per day Hybrid Working Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a well-established business based in Scunthorpe who are looking to appoint a Project Accountant to support the finance function through a period of change and improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the review and clearance of a backlog of financial reporting and accounts
* Rebuild and strengthen reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information
* Support the production of management accounts and associated analysis
* Review existing finance processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies and control improvements
* Drive improvements to financial reporting, reconciliations and balance sheet integrity
* Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and improve financial visibility
* Support the implementation of improved processes, controls and reporting structures
* Provide technical accounting support to the wider finance team where required
Key Skills
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
* Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
* Proven experience working on finance improvement or transformation projects
* Strong balance sheet and reconciliation expertise
* Advanced Excel and strong financial systems capability
* Confident working with senior stakeholders and driving change within finance teams
