About the Role The Audio Visual Technician will be responsible for supporting the school’s audio-visual and media technology across classrooms, performance spaces and whole-school events. You will ensure equipment is set up, maintained and operating effectively to support teaching, assemblies, performances and community events. Working closely with teaching staff, IT teams and leadership, you will help create a reliable and professional AV environment that enhances both learning and school activities. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers and lighting systems Provide technical support for school events, assemblies, presentations, performances and productions Assist staff with the use of AV equipment in classrooms, halls and performance spaces Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues relating to audio, video and presentation equipment Maintain and manage AV equipment inventory, ensuring equipment is safe, functional and well organised Support recording or live streaming of events where required Liaise with staff to ensure technical requirements for events and lessons are met Ensure all AV equipment is used and maintained in line with health and safety regulations Provide basic training and guidance for staff on the use of AV technology Uphold safeguarding, equality and school policies at all times The Ideal Candidate Experience working with audio-visual or media equipment in a school, theatre, broadcast or events environment Strong knowledge of AV systems including sound, projection and presentation technology Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently Good organisational skills and the ability to manage equipment and schedules Strong communication and teamwork skills when working with staff and students A proactive approach with the ability to work independently when required Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Legal right to work in the UK About the School in Coventry The school in Coventry is known for its strong academic tradition and supportive learning environment.
