Experience
Essential criteria
1. Demonstrable post-registration experience, to include at least 2 years band 6 experience expertise in acute setting
2. Recent experience in specialty
3. Substantial experience in leading and managing a team
4. Experience in service and practice development
Desirable criteria
5. 2 years experience in Acute medicine at band 6 level
Qualifications
Essential criteria
6. Registration on Part 1, or 12 of NMC Register (RGN/RN Adult) or equivalent
7. Teaching Qualification, SLIP/Mentorship
Desirable criteria
8. Deteriorating Adult Course
9. HAPE or equivalent
10. Leadership and Management qualification
11. Masters level course
12. Acute Medicine specific course
Technical Skills
Essential criteria
13. Proven Leadership skills
14. Able to deal with demands of rapidly developing and changing service, problem solving and prioritising abilities. Clinical reasoning, problem solving and decision make skills at an advance level
15. Ability to work in a busy environment and cope when the service is under pressure.
