Accounts Administrator
From £27,000, Haywards Heath, 9:00-5:30 Monday to Thursday and 9:00-5:00 Friday, Full time permanent, 20 days holiday rising to 25 plus bank holidays, early Friday finish and hybrid working after probation
The Role
An established commercial finance business is seeking an Accounts Administrator to join its busy finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Administrator looking to build on existing finance experience within a supportive, professional environment that offers exposure to the full lifecycle of commercial lending and group accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing daily bank statements and accurately posting transactions to the accounting system
Managing purchase ledger activity, including supplier invoices, statements and purchase orders
Loading, rescheduling and terminating commercial loan and lease agreements
Preparing borrower statements and settlement figures
Liaising with borrowers, surveyors and other lenders to progress new facilities to completion
Completing post-payout administration, including issuing welcome packs and file checks
Maintaining insurance and tenancy records for the property portfolio
Supporting the wider accounts team with banking, direct debits and intercompany transfers
Assisting with general office and administrative duties as required
Requirements
Applicants for this Accounts Administrator position will ideally have experience in a varied finance or accounts role, with knowledge of accounting systems being desirable. Experience using a well-known accounting package would be advantageous, as would strong Excel skills. A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload effectively are essential. You will be a proactive team player with a professional telephone manner and a genuine willingness to learn and take ownership of routine and more complex tasks. This role could suit someone who has worked as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Administrator or Accounts Clerk.

Starting salary from £27,000
20 days annual leave, increasing by one day per year up to 25 days
