At Kimal, we believe our success is built through collaboration and shared values — Integrity, Positivity, Inclusion, and Kindness. These principles shape everything we do, from how we work with each other to how we support our customers and communities. We’re proud to offer an environment where you can grow, learn, and make a difference from day one.
We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join our friendly IT team. This role offers the perfect opportunity to start your career in IT, gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of technologies, and work towards a recognised IT qualification.
You’ll play a key role in supporting our IT infrastructure across all Kimal sites, helping keep our people connected and productive.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing first-line technical support to staff across the business.
* Assisting with installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, and mobile devices.
* Helping manage IT Helpdesk tickets, ensuring issues are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
* Supporting users with Microsoft applications, networks, and security tools.
* Preparing and setting up equipment for new starters and returns.
* Maintaining system documentation and ensuring data confidentiality.
* Learning from experienced IT professionals while building your technical skills.
* Completing a ICT (level 3) apprenticeship typically lasting 17 months.
* Dedicate 20% of working hours (included in the 38.5-hour week) to off‑the‑job learning — such as online study, workshops, and coursework.
* Training delivered through a recognised provider, with full support from your manager and colleagues.
What we’re Looking for
* A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport are essential due to the travel between sites.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and I.T. (Grades 9–4 / A–C).
* Genuine interest in technology and IT systems.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
* A proactive attitude and problem‑solving mindset.
