SEND Teaching Assistant Role Available.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a child in Key Stage Two with autism. This role is based in our small, friendly, and welcoming village school where staff and children work closely together in a nurturing environment.
The Role:
* Provide tailored support to a child with autism outside the classroom and show encouragment to integrate the child back to a classroom setting.
* Use your knowledge of autism and effective support strategies to help the child access learning, build confidence, and develop social and emotional skills.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to ensure consistent, supportive provision.
* Prioritise empathy, patience, and nurturing approaches in every aspect of support.
We are looking for someone who has:
* Previous experience working in a classroom setting in a support capacity.
* A good understanding of the autism spectrum and strategies to support children with additional needs.
* A nurturing and empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting childrens wellbeing and development.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with staff, parents, and professionals.
