Hours: 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE)
Location: 29-31 Montgomery Street, Belfast

Remuneration: £25,476 - £27,919 Pro-rata
Overall Purpose of Post: The Volunteer Engagement Co-Ordinator is responsible for volunteer retention and coordination across the organization. The role ensures adherence to data management strategies, effective monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes. The postholder will facilitate volunteer recruitment, induction, support, and contribute to service development, promoting good practice in service delivery, evaluation, and quality assurance, working closely with Service Leads & SMT.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Volunteer Co-ordination: Support recruitment strategies, oversee the volunteer database, maintain inventory of needs, process Access NI checks, update role descriptions, organize training, develop new initiatives, promote the service, liaise with external agencies, promote volunteer retention, maintain communication, monitor activities, stay updated with best practices, support policy reviews, ensure compliance and support volunteer development.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning: Develop and support effective processes, assess outcomes, develop case studies, evaluate services, coordinate satisfaction surveys, ensure alignment with funding requirements.
3. Quality Assurance and Development: Support policy reviews, ensure standards, promote diversity, and foster an inclusive environment.
4. Data and Information Management: Follow reporting mechanisms, gather evidence, analyze statistics, ensure GDPR compliance.
5. External Relationships: Build stakeholder relationships, attend external meetings, develop partnerships.
6. General: Work as part of a team, promote the organization, undertake training, and perform other duties as required.
Person Specification:
Essential Experience: Delivering training, organizing events, managing people or volunteers.
Qualifications: Relevant work experience, minimum GCSEs in English and Math.
Skills: Excellent communication, self-management, organizational, negotiation, IT proficiency, teamwork, independence.
Personal Qualities: Adaptability, empathy, supportiveness, commitment to values.
Other: Flexibility, valid driving license, access to transport.
Desirable Experience: Health and social care sector, community engagement, training development, volunteer involvement, voluntary sector experience.
Qualifications: Relevant training, management qualification (minimum NVQ Level 3).
