HomeServe is recruiting directly employed Gas Repair Engineers. The role involves maintaining and repairing gas appliances and central heating systems in customers' homes, providing industry‑leading service and supporting our reputation.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair gas appliances and central heating systems in customers' homes.
* Deliver excellent customer service and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
* Apply keen eye for detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
Training
* Week 1 – Attend Head Office in Walsall Monday to Friday covering HomeServe, health and safety, and receive tools and equipment.
* Week 2 – Line up with an experienced Gas Repair Engineer and receive hands‑on training.
* Where geographically appropriate, accommodation and meal allowance will be paid for induction.
Requirements
* CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1 & CKR1 certificates (copies required).
* Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Proactive, can‑do attitude.
* Strong detail orientation and problem‑solving skills.
Hours & Salary
Full‑time, 40 hours per week over the year with annualised hours (less in summer, more in winter). Includes weekend, evening, and bank holiday work.
Salary: £46,250 + £1,500 guaranteed bonus in first year.
