Critical care at UHNM has 36 General and Neuro‑intensive care beds covered by 12 Consultants, Junior medical staff and ACCP’s providing cover for the unit. There is a strong multi‑disciplinary ethos. The candidate will join a tier of 8 specialty doctors / ACCPs providing daytime and 1:8 on call cover for the critical care unit.
Responsibilities
* Provide safe and effective Anaesthetic Service at the University Hospital of North Midlands (Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital).
* Perform out of hours work on rota with a frequency of 1:8, covering all assigned duties.
* Actively participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities in the department.
* Teach, train and supervise anaesthetic trainees and medical students from Keele Medical School.
