Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Events and Communications Manager to join our client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing a variety of events, ensuring that each event meets the highest standards of quality and effectiveness. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional organisational abilities, and a keen understanding of marketing strategies to enhance event visibility and engagement.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage event plans from conception to completion, ensuring all aspects are executed flawlessly.
Coordinate logistics including venue selection, catering, audio/visual needs, and transportation.
Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials and campaigns using SEO strategies, Google Ads, email marketing, and social media management.
Utilise project management skills to oversee timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
Conduct post-event analysis to assess success metrics using Google Analytics and provide insights for future improvements.
Create engaging content for event promotions through copywriting and design using Adobe Photoshop.
Maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, and partners to ensure successful collaborations.
Lead a team of event staff, providing guidance and support throughout the planning process.
Prepare presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint for stakeholder updates and event proposals.
Experience
Proven experience in event management or related fields with a strong portfolio of successful events.
Proficiency in project management tools and techniques; experience with WordPress is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills to assess event performance metrics and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal; ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
Familiarity with B2B marketing strategies is preferred; experience in managing B2B events is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel for budgeting and reporting purposes.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams under pressure while managing time effectively.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
