This is an Accounts Assistant Manager role based at our client’s Milton Keynes office. The position offers the opportunity to lead and review a portfolio of accounts work, supporting the firm’s continued growth and delivering a high-quality service to a varied client base.
Key Responsibilities:
• Reviewing and managing a portfolio of accounts jobs, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Managing the preparation and finalisation of statutory accounts for FRS 102 and FRS 105 clients under the overall control of Directors and Principals.
• Overseeing the preparation of corporation tax returns for FRS 105 clients.
• Managing the preparation of sole trader accounts and the associated personal tax returns.
• Supervising and training junior staff, including on-the-job coaching, and reviewing their work.
• Advising and supporting clients using cloud-based systems (particularly Xero and QuickBooks Online).
• Managing the financial aspects of client relationships including budgeting, negotiation, billing, and recovery.
Candidate Requirements:
• ACA or ACCA qualified or PQ
• Strong background in accounting within a professional services environment.
• Working knowledge of accounting standards and corporate tax matters.
• Experience in personal tax desirable but not essential.
• Demonstrable experience with cloud accounting packages, particularly Xero and QuickBooks Online, and relevant App integrations.
Employment Details:
• Full-time role – Monday to Friday (hybrid working available).
