Alne Pre-school Playgroup consists of a group of children aged from 2 years to five years. Our aim is to encourage the development and education of these children through play in a safe, controlled environment. Alne Preschool Playgroup are looking for a Nursery Assistant Apprentice, you will be studying toward your Early Years Educator L3. We are looking for a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Level 2 Childcare Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a childcare setting while working towards a Level 3 qualification. You will support the day-to-day care of children aged 2 - 4 and within afterschool 4 - 11, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and develop. Your role will include; • To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times. • To help deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress. • To help ensure the preschool nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times. • To understand and work to preschool nursery policies and procedures, including how • To deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies. • To plan activities which ensure each child is making good progress. • To be a key person, monitoring and updating children’s progress by way of an app. • To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. accident and incident book, risk assessments. • To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the preschool aims and objectives It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact. This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study. This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 18 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Early Years Educator Level 3.
