We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Duties
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards.
* Supervise and support children during play, meals, rest periods, and organised activities.
* Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages children’s independence and confidence.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities for reporting to parents and management.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery or childcare setting.
* Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and external professionals regarding children's needs and progress.
* Assist in organising staff rotas, training sessions, and team meetings as part of management responsibilities.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
* Support the professional development of team members through leadership and mentorship.
Qualifications
* Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting.
* Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
* Demonstrated management or leadership skills within a childcare environment.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent recognised qualification.
* Experience with nursery management or administrative tasks is desirable.
* Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving transportation or home visits.
* A caring attitude, patience, organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.
