Zota has gained a reputation for creating the highest quality bespoke constructions in and around the Cotswolds. We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor/Contractor Manager to join our team.
*Job Summary*
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to ensure cost control and effective budgeting throughout the project lifecycle.
*Duties*
* Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring all aspects are accounted for.
* Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to keep expenditures within budget.
* Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of potential projects.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met.
* Prepare tender documents, contracts, and agreements with clients and subcontractors.
* Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms.
* Provide regular reports on project progress, costs, and forecasts to stakeholders.
* Negotiating the terms of Construction Contract
* Produce programme and monitor progress and implement any changes and updates that are required
* Acting as main contact for project stakeholders
* Ensuring that construction projects meet agreed technical standards
* Producing valuations for projects, chasing certificates and payments
* Signing off supplier and subcontractor invoices, raising payment certificates
* Attend site to inspect works in progress, record works completed and carry out any/all re-measures as necessary to raise variations.
* Maintain awareness of the different current building contracts in use
* Maintain and up to date knowledge of current building regulations that relate to the Company's sphere of work
* Understand the implications of different health & safety regulations and ensure compliance on site as necessary

* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
* Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cost control and financial management.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
