We are seeking a part-time seasonal bank staff member to assist our online retail and events department at Botton Village, located near Danby in North Yorkshire. This support is needed during peak seasonal demand and to cover both planned and unplanned staff absences, ensuring that our business can continue to operate smoothly.
In this role, you would be prepared to learn the ropes in one or more of our small businesses:
Online Store-
* Picking and packing orders; website administration, photography & customer service
Events-
* Assisting in the delivery of an event here in Botton Village.

Botton Village (Danby, North Yorkshire)
The role will be based at Botton Village, Danby, in the North Yorkshire Moors. To be considered for the role, you must be able to reliably travel to our site.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Retail Assistant (Bank) you will:
* You will support the staff team in all aspects of the different ‘assistant’ roles you are assigned to train and work in. We are a small team, and we need people who are able to follow instructions and willing to work hard as a team player.
* We sell hundreds of cheese hampers and other gifts through our shop website and mail order brochure; each parcel has to be packed to a high standard, wrapped, and posted. This can involve standing for long periods of time and includes some heavy lifting.
* Each year, we host a Christmas Fair in the village. You may be required to help with setting up and working on the day.
* You will be expected to have a can-do attitude, be willing to learn but also share the skills and experiences you may already have.
* You will need to conduct yourself in a friendly, kind and professional manner at all times.
* Some of the roles have manual work at their core, so your physical fitness and capability will need to be assessed against the wise range of tasks you might be asked to carry out.
* You will come with the ability to solve small problems and work on your own initiative once you understand what needs doing in each of the areas you’ll work in.
