Full Time - Turriff, Aberdeenshire based role. Right to Work in the UK - Essential. We are looking for a skilled HGV & Plant Electrical Engineer to join our growing operations team at our Rosehall site in Turriff. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and advancing a modern, evolving fleet of HGVs, trailers, and specialist milling equipment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of electrical systems across our fleet and plant equipment. As our machinery becomes more advanced, this role is critical in ensuring reliability, efficiency, and operational excellence.
You will work closely with internal teams including Drivers, Mobile Milling Workshop, Planners, Operations Managers, and our H&S and Compliance departments.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults across HGVs, trailers, and plant equipment
* Work on complex systems including load cells and weighing systems
* Carry out electrical fault finding and circuitry repairs
* Support maintenance of mobile milling equipment and fixed plant
* Interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics
* Contribute to improving preventative maintenance processes
* Initially support Transpan operations, with scope to expand across the wider business
* Travel occasionally as required to support operational needs
Qualifications
* Proven experience working with electrical systems on HGVs, plant, or industrial equipment
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Solid understanding of vehicle electrics, plant systems, or industrial electrical systems
* Experience with CAN bus systems (desirable)
* Familiarity with load cells / weighing systems (desirable)
* Basic PLC knowledge (advantageous but not essential)
