Long Marsh Ltd is a vehicle solutions company and has been providing rental vehicles rentals, sales, and servicing for 70 years.
Within our workshop we have the MOT testing station for classes 4, 5 and 7 and also provide MOT repairs, servicing, air conditioning treatments, and brake and clutch repairs.
We are looking for a confident workshop controller to be responsible for the daily operation of the service reception. You will assist the service manager and deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 8.15am – 5.45pm; with an hour lunch.
Particular areas of responsibility will be:
· Support and maintain customer service schedules, MOT, and servicing bookings.
· Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure all work is authorised.
· Ensure a steady and realistic flow of available work through the workshop.
· Audit job cards and associated service documentation for accuracy.
· Adhere to internal and external procedures.
· Sourcing and ordering of parts.
· Ensure Health & Safety and safe work practices are met at all times within this position.
· Liaise with the departments to organise servicing and repair work.
The ideal candidate will:
· Be willing to learn and adapt quickly.
· Have a flexible approach to working hours.
· Be comfortable working with computers/PC knowledge.
· Have excellent organisational skills.
· Have good customer service and a friendly manner.
· Be a team player with the ability to work unsupervised.
· Have basic knowledge of motor vehicles.
· Be able to work calmly and professionally in a customer facing role.
Rate of pay from £ depending on experience.
