Location: Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester • Employment type: Full-Time/Part-Time • Salary: up to £12.40 per hour
Responsibilities
* Support adults at our mental health service in South Manchester to develop skills and knowledge so that they can go on to live more independently in the community.
* Support service users to sustain their tenancies by encouraging them to develop independent living skills and helping them navigate tenancy-related issues.
* Identify areas where a service user needs support, devise an individual support plan for their placement, and support them in implementing this plan.
* Be non-judgemental, a good listener, able to use your initiative, and comfortable lone working and working alongside others.
* Develop skills as a support worker through close supervision, corporate training, and collaboration with an experienced staff team.
Qualifications
* Experience of providing care and support to individuals with mental health needs is desirable but not essential.
* Desire and commitment to work alongside service users, promoting positive change in their lives and helping them to achieve their aspirations.
* Full training is provided, with the opportunity to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
