Senior or mid-weight interior designer
Louise Holt Design is seeking a senior or mid-weight interior designer to join its team in Oxfordshire, UK.
You will work on high-end residential projects for private clients, including country houses in Oxfordshire, Cotswolds, Berkshire, and elegant houses in London.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in luxury interior design, from concept to completion, with strong technical skills in Vectorworks, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite, and excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities include:
* Joining a small design studio at senior or mid-level in a permanent role, reporting to the managing director.
* Delivering RIBA Stage 4 drawing packages for interior schemes.
* Working independently or as part of a team across projects.
* Attending client, supplier, and site meetings.
* Producing CAD technical drawings, room plans, sections, elevations, and interior details.
* Creating concept presentations, mood boards, and material samples.
* Sourcing interior fixtures, finishes, and creating presentations for clients and team.
* Managing FF&E sourcing, materials, and finishes for interior schemes.
* Designing bespoke joinery and creating tender schedules.
* Developing interior schemes, presentations, and budgets.
* Coordinating with suppliers for ordering, scheduling, and installation.
* Quality control and curating bespoke pieces.
* Conducting site visits and documenting minutes.
* Collaborating with the design team and contractors to ensure quality standards.
* Overseeing FF&E installation.
Requirements:
* At least four years’ post-graduate experience in high-end residential interior design.
* Experience across the full design process.
* Proficiency in Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, on MAC.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Attention to detail and contemporary design outlook.
* Ability to work independently and in teams, managing multiple projects.
* Experience in creating specification schedules and technical understanding of construction.
* Knowledge of suppliers and sourcing interior finishes and fixtures.
* Budget management skills and problem-solving ability.
* Positive attitude, work ethic, and organizational skills.
* Full driving license and access to a car for site visits.
