About the Role
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Divorce & Family Lawyer or Legal Executive to work in a well‑established and forward‑thinking firm with offices across Cumbria. You’ll join a supportive team providing exceptional legal advice to clients during often difficult times.
* Manage a caseload covering divorce, financial remedy, and private children law matters
* Deliver clear, sensitive, and pragmatic advice tailored to individual client circumstances
* Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, external experts, and professionals
* Maintain accurate time recording, billing and contribute to credit control

About You
The law firm is seeking an experienced and empathetic Divorce & Family Solicitor or Legal Executive who is ready to take the next step in their legal career. You will be the kind of person who combines professionalism with a client‑first attitude.
To be successful in this job you will be able to demonstrate:
* A minimum of 2 years’ PQE in family law, particularly divorce and finance
* The ability to work with sensitivity and professionalism, particularly with vulnerable clients
* Confidence in managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Resolution membership or willingness to work towards it (desirable)
* Flexibility to travel to other offices or client meetings when necessary
* Flexible approach to work
