We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mobile Gas Combustion Engineer to join our clients growing team. The successful candidate will bring 7–10 years of proven commercial gas experience, along with strong general knowledge of the wider building services industry, including ventilation systems and pipework installations.
This is a mobile role, working across a variety of client sites, with responsibility for the safe, efficient, and compliant installation, maintenance, and repair of gas combustion systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out installation, service, and repair of commercial gas combustion systems.
* Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works as required.
* Provide technical expertise across related systems, including ventilation and pipework.
* Participate in the on-call rota (1 week in every 4), ensuring responsive support to client emergencies.
* Accurately complete job reports, compliance documentation, and communicate effectively with clients and the operations team.
* Work in compliance with current regulations, safety procedures, and company standards.
Requirements
* Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in commercial gas engineering.
* Strong knowledge of ventilation systems and pipework.
* Relevant gas qualifications and certifications (ACS, Gas Safe, or equivalent).
* Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
Working Hours & On-Call
* 45 hours per week (core working hours).
* Participation in on-call rota (1 in every 4 weeks).
* Travel time during the normal working day is not paid.
* For call-outs, engineers will be paid 1.5x from door to door, plus a £50 standby fee.
