The Industrial Engineering role will be incorporated into the Manufacturing Engineering department, which is responsible for establishing and continuously improving the organization, competencies, processes, tools, and standards across all manufacturing locations. This role partners across manufacturing, engineering, and supporting functions to effectively bring new products to market and create world-class operations for processes such as primaries, welding, paint, assembly, packing/bundling, and load building. The position also promotes a culture of change, transformation, and development through continuous improvement and lean philosophies.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology preferred, or equivalent work experience
* Experience in driving and implementing continuous improvement efforts
* Strong team, leadership, and communication skills
* Ability to collaborate, partner, and exercise sound judgment
* Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills at all organizational levels
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
* Action-oriented and self-starting attitude
Preferred Skills:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
* Knowledge of manufacturing systems such as ERP, MES, SolidWorks, PDM, and AutoCAD
* Ability to analyze data to support departmental needs
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead large, complex projects impacting costs and organizational performance
* Conduct constraint analysis and capacity planning, supporting improvements to layouts, equipment, workforce, and technology
* Collaborate in new product development, focusing on design for manufacturability, seamless launch, and ownership of labor standards, layouts, and flow
* Focus on safety, ergonomics, quality, productivity, and cost reduction
* Stay current with industry best practices and incorporate new knowledge into processes
* Resolve manufacturing problems to meet safety, quality, and delivery standards
* Support process and equipment development, including capital justification and procurement
* Develop and implement safe, ergonomic, and robust manufacturing processes
* Create process documentation, work instructions, and cost analyses
* Deploy and visualize labor production targets in real-time
* Implement continuous improvement tools such as Lean and Design for Manufacturability
* Promote and develop a culture of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
