About the Role
This is a key position within the business, focused on leading the estimating function across HV/LV grid connections, EV infrastructure, and multi‑utility (electric & water) projects.
You will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive, and commercially viable estimates, while supporting coordinated utility solutions from early‑stage design through to submission.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and submitting tenders for HV/LV grid connections, EV infrastructure, and multi‑utility projects
* Analysing drawings, specifications, development layouts, and BOQs
* Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, DNOs/IDNOs, and Water Authorities
* Obtaining connection offers, approvals, and adoption requirements
* Supporting utility applications and approval processes
* Producing scopes of work, cost breakdowns, and quotation documentation
* Supporting preliminary design of electrical (LV/HV) and water infrastructure
* Managing multiple tenders/projects, deadlines, and cost variations
* Providing detailed cost analysis to support commercial decision‑making
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a commercially aware and technically capable estimator who can take ownership of the tendering function and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Essential experience
* Estimating experience within utilities, civils, infrastructure, or developer services
* Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure (LV/HV)
* Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, and BOQs
* Experience liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Desirable
* Experience with water infrastructure (mains & service connections)
* Knowledge of DNOs, IDNOs, and Water Authority processes
* Understanding of standards such as ENA G81
* Experience with design software (e.g. AutoCAD, MicroStation)
* Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar
