Teacher Educator

We are seeking an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic learning professional to play a key role in developing outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across the organisation. The successful candidate will support the professional development of colleagues through high-quality training, coaching and mentoring, helping to improve teaching practice and learner outcomes across a wide range of provision.
The role involves delivering and assessing formal teaching qualifications such as Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher and Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeships, while also supporting curriculum innovation, quality improvement and the embedding of inclusive teaching practices. You will work collaboratively with curriculum teams to design engaging learning resources, promote the effective use of digital technologies and ensure English, maths, employability skills and British Values are embedded throughout the learner journey.
You will contribute to creating a positive, supportive and motivating learning culture where both staff and learners are encouraged to achieve their full potential. The role also includes supporting observation processes, contributing to curriculum development activities and participating in wider college initiatives, recruitment events and professional development programmes. Key Responsibilities as a Teacher Educator
* Deliver high-quality training, teaching and assessment for staff and trainee teachers across formal teaching qualifications.
* Provide coaching, mentoring and tailored support to learning professionals to improve teaching practice and learner outcomes.
* Design engaging, inclusive and innovative learning resources using new and emerging technologies.
* Support quality improvement processes including lesson observations, curriculum development and assessment activities.
* Promote a positive learning culture while embedding English, maths, digital skills, British Values and inclusive practice throughout provision.
What do you need to be successful in this Teacher Educator role?
We are looking for an inspiring and experienced learning professional who is passionate about developing outstanding teaching, learning and assessment. The successful candidate will be committed to supporting both staff and learners to achieve their full potential, while promoting an inclusive, innovative and student-centred learning culture.
You will have experience of supporting and developing teaching practice, with a strong understanding of adult learning theories and the factors that contribute to learner success. You should be confident delivering engaging and innovative learning experiences, using digital technologies and a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Strong communication, coaching and interpersonal skills are essential, alongside the ability to motivate and positively influence others. You will also be committed to continuous professional development and contributing to quality improvement across the organisation.
Requirements
For this role you will need the following:
* A Level 4 qualification or above and a full teaching qualification
* A minimum of 4 years’ teaching experience, including supporting and developing other teachers
* Strong understanding of adult learning, inclusive teaching practices and learner development
* Confidence using digital technologies, VLE platforms and classroom learning tools
