Cambridge Regional College is seeking an experienced Internal Quality Assessor (IQA) to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting apprenticeship programmes across disciplines such as mechatronics maintenance, machining, maintenance and operations, and manufacturing. As an Internal Quality Assessor, you will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our learners and the quality of our provision. Your expertise in engineering and knowledge of awarding body standards will help shape the department by: • Supporting the Work Based Learning Manager in maintaining high standards of quality and compliance • Driving internal Quality Assurance (IQA) strategies and activities • Collaborating on curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives • Coordinating and preparing for external quality assurance visits and End Point Assessments You will report directly to the Work-based Learning Manager, while working closely with the Head of Engineering and Quality Leads within the team. This role offers hybrid working, combining remote flexibility with on-site collaboration at our Cambridge or Huntingdon campuses. What We’re Looking For We are seeking a professional who brings both technical expertise and a passion for education. Essential requirements include: • Level 3 relevant vocational qualification and evidence of CPD • Level 3 TAQA or equivalent, and Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance Qualification • Experience in training and assessing within an Engineering environment • Experience working with awarding bodies (EAL preferred) • Strong communication and interpersonal skills Cambridge Regional College is a large and inspirational centre of learning with Campuses in Cambridge and Huntingdon.
